• Moving from the Feverlands, a void monster makes its way into the Oerwoud. After a group fails to stop the spread, it is allowed to continue. Though the board descriptions haven't been updated, most boards are now hostile to anyone who isn't a Friend of the Family, with an abundance of void flora and fauna everywhere you go; [KQ] tell me it's alright

Regional Defenses/Upgrades against the Void

• Torchline: All boards are protected from the Void. No void flora or fauna can enter Torchline.
  
• The Hollowed Grounds: The inner quarter is protected from the Void. No void flora or fauna can enter the Inner Quarter or any of its subboards.
  
• Halo: The hotsprings in Halo were destroyed and can no longer heal infected characters.
  
• King's End: The Barrows is protected from the Void. No void flora or fauna can enter the Barrows or any of its subboards.
  

Common Knowledge

• Members of the Family include Dahlia, Dorian (though what Dorian looks like is very sketchy) and Vox for sure. Based on IC interactions maybe you also know of Pierce.
  
• The best way to assist in pushing back the void is by finding Vi's Roses (can be found in any board in the GW and will show up as a serendipity if you're successful in finding one), or one of Rae's Lilies (can be found in Frey's Breath, in the Climb).
  
• Everyone receives Vox's broadcasts directly in their minds at the same time, and it's very much assumed that he can be anywhere and listen in on anything.
  
• Dahlia has taken over Stormbreak after Sohalia "went on vacation" (aka was kidnapped). Stormbreak isn't any more dangerous because of this in terms of posting in this board.
  
• Torchline is protected against the void, the capitols of Halo and the Grounds are protected against the void.
  
• Dahlia infects via a kiss. It's far less well known that Vox infects via a hug and Pierce infects via punching.
  
• Pierce killed Flora and Jack for being involved in too many KQs pushing back the void.
  
• The only way to identify a Friend of the Family (without a magical item) is the fact that void flora/fauna are friendly to them.
  
• If you're a Foe of the Family (someone infected and then cleansed), you can see people who are infected or were infected.
  
• Fire, Lightning, Disintegration, Lifedrain, telekinesis, and bloodbane all do regular damage against the Family. Cold, Celestial, and Earth do no damage. Water is dependent on usage. Gravity and Air is super effective.
  
• In order to reclaim an infected region, you must complete a number of 'cleansing' tasks related to the size of the region. The number is listed below.
  
  1. Completing a Very Hard level 15 KQ in an infected region counts as 1.
  2. Bringing one of Vi's Roses counts as 1.
  3. Bringing one of Rae's Lilies counts as 1.
  3. Completing an RQ from either Rae/Mort/Vi counts as 1.

• In order to take over Starfall (which is the End Game of this plot aside from killing all the Family members), all boards must be explored and the final board must be reached. To do this, a lily/rose must be placed in each board to cleanse the void. Arriving in a board that isn't cleansed will immediately trigger a level-dependant very hard KQ.
  
• Only Vi/Rae/Mort can give out quests for flowers. The heralds cannot.
  

Plot Conclusion

Based on the site's input, we decided to end the plot early! This was nearly two real years of our lives and 3 site years and as it turns out, that's too much.
The Family is GONE and while your characters might be worried IC that they're going to come back, please know that this plot is OVER! However! That doesn't mean we've wrapped everything up in a nice little bow; there are still some things for you to do!

Infected Characters

You're still infected! To be cleansed, you need to be pricked by a rose or pollened-on by a lily. However, perhaps it's because of a change in the season, but they should be a little bit easier to find... That said, without the Family's influence around, your character needn't act any different to how they normally would.

Infected Regions

The Draig Cordillera and Stormbreak have still been overtaken by the void. In order to be cleansed, there needs to be (2) 'hard' level-scaled KQs completed, and/or roses/lilies planted in each area. These can be initiated at your leisure (though pls give your admin-chat a nudge so one of us can prep!). 

Void Critters

There are still void critters roaming around! Mostly they're on Starfall, but keep your eyes peeled for KQs! (And if you need a KQ to level, let us know!)

Starfall

Starfall is now available to be explored! There are void critters roaming about, and for Foes of the Family any damage you take while on the island should be much worse, but you can now consider this to be an explorable region just like any other. There's no admin oversight, you're free to explore as you like! (It is now part of your exploration reqs, though!)
