She politely ignored Seren's sudden melancholy, not wanting to further sadden her. Ray knew full well what it was like to miss a parent and if Seren didn't want to discuss it further, she wouldn't pry. Smiling when Umbra approached, Ray held out a hand for the hatchling to sniff.
