The manta crystal and necklace remained in her pocket, just in case, and the anklet on her skin stayed where it always had, the charms dangling against her flesh.
Instinctively, Melita moved towards her beloved cannons, grabbing hold of the weapons and armaments necessary for their instrumental purpose, and function, tending to their filaments with a growing expertise, and Fangorn gliding behind her.
