The silence is both a boon and a curse, giving Finn the space to think, to say it out loud, but also making it real in ways that were easy to brush off back when it had just been in his dreams. He doesn’t look at Tobi throughout, though he does nod as she speaks. Yes, she can sit closer. It isn’t as though Finn can get much more out of his comfort zone - and that’s probably why he’s here now.
But then she says he’s not crazy, and he smiles a warbling sort of smile down at the blanket in his lap. ”That is kind of you to say,” he murmurs, his tone the soft, patient sort that says with sincerity, you’re wrong. ”I don’t think any of this could have happened if I weren’t,” he confesses. ”It is more than Remi. He just... triggers things that are already there. Things that I did, or that I shouldn’t have done. Everything that has let me here, to this point.”
