Ain't nothing quite like a hapless stranger walking right into the shark's mouth. These days - these long, lazy, warm (probably) days - Jack doesn't really have anything like good or bad moods. Since his run-in at a shrine with someone who definitely wasn't the Voice, he's been quite languidly in between. No getting drunk, no fucking, no needless physical enjoyment... but no migraines, either. Nothing to get in his way, to stop or distract.
So when he hears a voice and turns on the sand, his boots leaving whirling prints on the beach, the captain looks better than one might think, given that he's lacking in sensation. Sharp blue eyes look the stranger from her toes right up to her face, lingering on the aspects that are naturally of interest (like breasts, or places where weapons might hide). The crackle of panic in her thoughts is almost familiar by this point - this isn't Jack's first time coming across a freshly dropped Outlander.
"I could," he drawls. "What's it worth to you?"
