[PQ] meets the sea

Nate's plan isn't bad. Water does flood into the ditch, though the speed with which it moves is increasing. At this rate it won't be very long before it floods back out around your feet. Outside, the waves are growing restless. And rocks, huh? Well, if you insist. A great burst of thunder shakes the stones that make up the secluded cave. Not enough to really cause structural damage, but a few rocks are sent loose and flying. One of them is the size of a baseball, and hits Nate squarely on his foot, breaking some of the bones. He won't feel the pain, of course, but he'll have a limp until he gets it fixed.
