"I don't know if I deserve it but it does make me very happy." she said with a grin. But she didn't get much time to continue basking in her shock and appreciation. As soon as the lid was back on the box she was scooped up and "kidnapped". She squeaked, instinctively clinging to him at first. But as the water began to fly up as he charged ahead, she held up her arms, laughing at his antics.
And then, very unceremoniously, she was dropped in the water. She wasn't sure she had ever told Harper, but it would probably be clear by how she flailed that while not unable to swim, Phoebe was far from a strong or practiced swimmer. Even so, once her feet found the sandy bottom, she pushed herself back up, making sure to flip her hair so he was sprayed with water. "You sneak!" she laughed, wiping the water off her face.
