Well, Melita had wanted an adventure.
Sure enough, the brewing tempest reached them, the Ark still small against the tidal expanse of an ocean, eventually intertwined in the contorting winds, in the blinding abyss of rain. While the youth had been born amidst the sands, and had clambered to the sea with every reassurance of its beauty and dignity, she hadn’t forgotten its potent strength either – shown and displayed here, again and again.
She gave no thought to the danger involved – never had, really, too many times with her life at stake and forging onward, along, as if nothing was amiss. Fangorn clutched to different sections of the ship as they fought against the insurgency; the girl had always been seditious – striving to hear Jack’s orders over the accursed wind. Her hands went towards anything shoved out of place, attempting to right them, or carry them along where they could be tied down.
