but am i too late? or hearts to your spades,
if i don't suit you? then what do you want from me?

She appears in all her ethereal glory, of starlight and beauty, and he looks up from where he kneels. Her light is dimmed, though he’s unsure why, wondering if perhaps the canals had taken a lot out of her. But her question doesn’t go unnoticed, the comments of such something that he has struggled with… But always, upon seeing her, any questions or doubts that sit in his mind are gone.
He sits back a bit, focused on her entirely, a soft smile playing on his lips. “Many changes, yes, but always room for you.” After all, she was the one who had changed his life, made him into something he couldn’t ever imagine. She had blessed him time and time again, what was it he had to be worried for if she always held a piece of his heart and soul? He can’t imagine not having her there. He clears his throat then, lifting the daggers, then slowly works to stand through the soreness of the burns that cross along his body, figuring he might as well get the topic he’d come for over with.
“I’m… Well, I’m missing the Fae blood for the tasks you’ve given me.” He wasn’t going to lie to her and try and pretend he’d done it all when he hadn’t. (At least, aware of it.) “I understand if it’s disappointing and if I must wait to get it. But I thought it was important to see you regardless.” Was it because he’d missed her? Because so much had happened and he hadn’t come and seen her before now because he hadn’t wanted to speak with her until he completed her tasks? Probably a mix of all of it.

Feel free to use magic/force on Sunjata, without killing him <3
Sunjata speaks with an Australian accent and has a passive magic that makes him produce a subtle scent that matches exactly to whatever those around him most desire him to smell like.
