When Korbin thanked him, after so many minutes of silence, it surprised him. Noah didn't know how to respond. To say you're welcome felt like a smack in the face, like Noah was placing himself in a spot superior to Korbin. He wasn't, and so he didn't want to say it. Blue eyes fell from the rafters to the raven, and Noah nodded his head, solid and warm and truthful. He smiled at the youngest Hale--the only Hale--"Thank you for staying." He said, simply, his voice almost falling back to its normal tenor.
He just wanted to know that, one day, Korbin would be okay.
