He brought her forward, her mouth pressing against his neck, the pulse of blood in his veins suddenly and startingly loud in her ears. Isla closed her eyes, her lips parting, and without further ado she slipped her fangs into the soft column of his neck. Blood, rich and copper and somehow so much more, danced across her tongue, and she let out a hum of near relief as a thirst she didn't know she possessed was slaked once more.
