I'm as surprised as you are, about the shift, he admitted. But there are merfolk in these waters, too. As long as we're guests in their home it seems only polite to check on who - or what - you're attacking. Kill one of their pets or companions on accident and you could cause Remi a lot of problems. Or, gods forbid, one of the merfolk themselves. So I ask again: why did you do it?
