Ah, all the fun conversations that would inevitably have to take place in the near future. How fortunate that the time had not yet come. There was still room for play, for fun, for simple games in the water. For petting pink dolphins and letting them carry an innocent into the deep, and almost drown her.
Seren did not speak encantado. She did not know what the spray of water meant, or that the animal planned to dive. Her hasty intake of breath was half sea water, and the coughing fit that followed was of epic proportions. She lost grip of the animal's fin, and began to struggle to keep her head above the surface. All the lessons flew out the window - stay calm, breathe, relax, let the water carry - and soon panic was rising, threatening to make the fun fun treasure hunt into a nightmare.
