Smilng proudly at his daughter as she introduced them both, Ronin couldn't say that he was quite as overwhelmed by the appearance of the mermaid. But then again that was probably due to the great many other weird and wonderful things he had seen in his time. Besides, the girl (Delta, it transpired) seemed to be as clueless about his concern as he was about her appearance.
"It's nice to meet you too," he said, his hand still securely in Seren's so if she wanted to lean down and get a closer look she wouldn't have as much of a chance to tumble into the water. "We were just taking a walk along the dock to look at the water and the boats, weren't we?" He glanced to his daughter. "It's nice to see them finally getting further out to sea, now the ash is clearing."
