Melita was familiar with a portion of the lantern making, having participated in Jigano’s a previous year. She hummed, half-listening to directions, no particular name pressing on her mind amidst the lanterns – she’d already made hers for Adam and Peters' companions, Clementine and her mother in yesteryears; endless deaths and dirges could’ve filled her heart, her lungs, her soul, but with so many present, she didn’t tip the scales in either direction.
