This conversation... was really not going the way Maea had hoped. Her questions led them onto territory she found very painful to even think about. As he explained how he had, but really did not have, a relation with Nate, she began to feel very odd standing there. Half undressed, him entirely so, talking about... someone else. How he liked someone else touching him... and his assurances that it wasn't love, what he had with the Ascended, did not quite reach her. Because, what else could it be? Maea definitely wasn't convinced, and it showed.
Maea withdrew slightly, and brought the dress back up over her chest, feeling suddenly very exposed. And when Sunjata admitted he wouldn't want Nate to stop, she tensed up. Couldn't quite seem to breathe, because gods, that hurt.
"Would you stop him?" she asked, unable to bring herself to look at him. Expression stiff, locked in some attempt at calm... but really, she didn't even fool herself.
