Loren had frankly been surprised to receive an invitation from Bastien. Although the Launceleyn was sort of close with Rexanna (so maybe it came from her), he wasn’t actually all that close with the host. Still, Loren had decided to attend, if only to be polite. Worst case, he could duck out early. Unfortunately for Bastien, the Launceleyn wasn’t exactly the snappiest of dressers despite his upbringing. At least he had put on brown dress shoes rather than sneakers (and a matching belt). As always, he had a pair of glasses precariously perched on his nose. Holding a small bag in one hand, he walked up to the apartment door, more than a bit self-conscious.
