Grabbing at a nearby rope that was secured to the ship, he looped it around his waist, and tied it with a complicated knot, fingers moving with the ease of long practice. Simultaneously, he kicked at the tentacle with his free leg, while his captured leg just kicked as he tried to dislodge it.
