“Because,” he begins, “she doesn’t trust me to not go off and fuck anyone that’s not her.” He puts it bluntly, gaze lifting to scan Loren’s face. He doesn’t mention he made it clear his intentions, had she accepted his terms. Surely Loren should know Phoebe to be the jealous type, even if Sunjata could care less if she slept with anyone else. In fact, part of him encourages it.
Part of the soft tone Loren gives him frustrates him further, not wanting the pity or the frustration. “I am fine.” He tries to reiterate. “I get my blood checked once a week, I have a whole array of medicine to take.” He frowns, looking back down to the bar table top.
He lets Loren sigh, as he shifts to sit again, catching his breath. “A knife, or with these.” His hands remain placed on the table, partially shifting to his fingers that turn into black edged claws from his panther form, before his gaze lifts back to Loren. “Whatever you think.” He’s running out it energy fast to keep arguing. “It's basically to cut the palm, take the blood, and draw lines on her with it and mention some phrase in Korofi about how she belongs to me.” He shakes his head, gaze dropping back to the table top. “So whatever else you think to go along with that, go for it.”
