Cass paddled out a little further before hearing the call:
"Hey! You all right?"
Like, yeah, like, of course she was alright. She was just swimming, gosh. Some people. But the lady did seem kinda concerned or whatever, and she didn't want her calling Hotaru and saying her kid was like drowning or something. As far as Cass was concerned, Hotaru was wayyyyy too prone to heart attacks.
Cass turned around and began to paddle back towards the bank, dress flowing out behind her. "Yeah! Why'd ya ask?"
She swam in a little closer. Splish sploosh splish sploosh. " I'm Cass! The water's great, by the way!"
