She wasn't usually one to wander in where she did not belong, or to take what was not hers. But in a time of crisis, Maea had been taught to make the best of what she could, and in this case... an abandoned place was abandoned. And it would do no one any good to leave items to rot.
If push came to shove, she could always return what she found later.
Wandering slowly through the empty workshop, she spotted a strange item that immediately caught her eye. It was a lense, made of glass or some similar material. Feeling only somewhat guilty she picked it up and tucked it into a pocket, and left quickly - as if someone might turn up and yell at her any moment if she lingered.
