His thrashing and tearing at the mud only do so much to weaken him, and when the walls press back in on him there’s an almost whining whale sound that leaves him. There isn’t much he can do, his attempt to break free with that unknown shift has done little to actually get him out. So he clamps his jaw shut tight, a feeling drifting from the attuned bond that Oliver and Loren could likely feel, of pain and frustration as Sunjata tries to think of what to do next.
So he reaches for that new part of him, the one that can shift slightly, his snout shifts to that of the panther with sharp teeth and fangs as his body cries out, his arms shift to that of the panthers with claws and mobility — but he keeps the rest of his body the smooth orca pelt, and he tries again while Haai dives from above once more, claws and talons reaching out.
Sunjata partially shifts his face and arms to that of the panther and tries to bite and claw at it from within again. Haai tries to claw from above again!
