It isn’t as if Kai needs more things to ask; no doubt he could fill an entire universe up with unanswered questions. Unlike others though, you’re dazzled and delighted by this (intellectually, not emotionally of course). Kai thinks to ask things that you never would (mostly about feelings and such), but without him your research would be incomplete. With him you would be incomplete, and therein is the perfection of Rae’s design.
