It's easier than the deep emotions threatening to overcome her at Leaning forward she turns to Adam, scooting close enough that she can lean against his bony shoulder. "Under all that big talk and swagger, you're just a big softy." From beneath long lashes she peers up at him, wrinkling her nose playfully. "Don't worry. I won't tell. And... thank you. For waiting for me. Though if you'd gotten yourself hurt trying to protect me I might have had to kill you."
