With Jigano 's voice added, a bit more time is bought, but not much. Given the size of the herd, if you all crowd in between them, you can probably make it to the Temple with their light to guide you...but slowly the light begins to disperse as they skitter even more. If you are going to use their light as a means of safety, you will have to go soon.
