The anticipation was biting into him. Hah.
He wanted to know what it would feel like. What if it was a person by person basis? Had Amun bitten other people yet before? Could different Ascended individuals give different bites? All of those ideas were coming to mind but Oliver did the best he could to ignore them and focus on what he had standing directly in front of him, Amun.
The light wasn't great in the alcove, not at all, but he could still just make out his face. As he spoke, Oliver felt a bit more relaxed. He movements were slow and well placed. It made Oliver feel better knowing Amun was taking his time rather than rushing Oliver into it. Maybe he really did genuinely care. It meant that Oliver's trust was building more. It would be okay. Amun wouldn't have been this nice and slow if otherwise.
When Amun offered to bite his wrist Oliver glanced down before looking back up and shaking his head. "No...I'd rather have both of my hands free." For what exactly? He wouldn't say. Obviously, there were multiple reasons why he'd choose that. "Besides...my wrists are pretty small, not as much space for you to bite." Saying that sent a shudder down his spine as he realized what words had left his mouth. And surprisingly, his biggest concern right now was the possibility of accidentally bumping his head.
"Go ahead. I trust you." He gave the man a small smile before tilting his head ever so slightly and took a long deep breath. Oliver continued to watch Amun, waiting for his next move.
