They were both strangers to this world, dropped into it at a similar time, struggling to find their way through.He heaved himself up to sit on a low branch, leaning back onto the truck of the tree and looking through the leaves at Peter. "Confusing, huh? I like that." Adam laughed. "What do I make confusing, though? All I'm doing is telling you what I think. If it's confusing you, does that mean you know I'm kinda right? Or..."
He grinned and shrugged his shoulder to let his shirt fall off it just a little. "Is it because I'm hot and you don't know what to do with that?"
