Fortunately for Soh, Ellyra was a good friend, and in this context, a 'good friend' meant one who would order more drinks. She went to take a sip of her existing drink only to find that it was empty, and she set it down with a soft huff as she waited for the next round. Ellyra's words were kind and uplifting, and Soh's lower lip trembled as she took them in. "Do you really think so?" she asked in a tiny voice, silver eyes meeting Ellyra's hopefully. Would she remember the girl's praise in the morning? Maybe not. But for right now, it meant the world.

As for the guy across the bar, Soh's eyes grew round and her cheeks flushed. She leaned in closer. "I've never... you know," she whispered. "I kept thinking that it would be Jude, but now..." She swallowed hard and snatched up her new drink. "I don't even know why I came here. I thought maybe I could forget about him for a while, but here I am." She laughed mirthlessly. "Doing nothing but thinking about him."
