With a snarl, the canine hunkers down and lunges forward, racing across the rocky mantle with incredible speed. The webbing on its paws as well as the thick pads allow it to move across both rock and lava with ease, as it aims a bite toward Flora.
Its jaws clamp down upon her forearm, digging into her muscle. Though it clearly possessed the strength to tear her arm from its socket, instead it released her as it had done with the various other animals around the Climb, leaving a bloody wound that glowed an ominous and unhealthy purple.
