Tal tugged his Goggles up into place, just in case there was more than met the eye going on. If there had been, however, it was long gone or out of range as they dropped closer and closer to the crash sites. The ground was torn up, sure, but in the hearts of the craters themselves...
Nothing.
"Could be they did," the courier granted slowly, his scowl in full force as they drifted to a halt roughly fifteen feet above the ground. "Took us a few days t'round th'Draig, after all. Any locals could've been here sooner if they had skyships or wings. Or lived close enough, I guess... though, not many folks outside th'Refuge here." He delivered enough packages to have a decent sense of where most people lived, and this wasn't exactly on the Refuge's doorstep.
His musing were interrupted by a low bellow in the distance and he looked out in alarm--
Only to see an elk caught in the grip of the nastiest fucking moss he'd seen in his life. It looked like it belonged in the Feverlands, not King's End, and Tal made a quick mental note to steer clear of anything remotely like it in the future.
"Wanna go down an' take a closer look?" At the craters, not the moss, obviously.
Nothing.
