Perhaps it was a bit silly, to want to keep something as innocuous as a spork, but what can we say? Alys was a little bit like a magpie. She loved shiny objects. The spork, she thought, would add nicely to the little collection of sparkly, pretty things that she kept next to her bed in the Academy dormitory.

She stared after it, her brow creased in confusion, for she'd never met quite so angry a mouse before, before picking up a few more bones and tucking them away in her basket. As the skies began to clear, she picked up her basket and followed Deimos out of the desert.
