Melita did her best not to gloat. Really and truly. Which showed some manner of growth, because beforehand she would’ve been cheering and hooting and hollering for herself, fist pumps included. For now though, she waved at her friends who didn’t quite make it all the way through.

And then surveyed her competition.

Narrowing her eyes vaguely at Talyson, and wondering if this would be the moment where she finally beat him up, she opted to utilize the circumstances as they were. Fair and squire. Limbo.

Energetic and full of zest again, she approached the flames as she so often did – like a kindred spirit, striving to shimmy beneath the lower and lower rope.
