Listen, it didn’t take much to entice Melita to join anything party, booze, or food related.
So when she saw people gathering along the beach, almost as if there was another LongNight party she was unaware of (especially midday), her features screwed into little pinprick slits of curiosity, intrigue, and emboldened pursuits.
At least she didn’t run all the way there – merely deciding to coast along the outlines for a moment, people watching. There were quite a few she didn’t recognize, but then there was Talyson, Phoebe, and…oh gods, her uncle.
