Having convinced (read: told, intimidated and bribed) the stall owner that the new construction is going to be very good for business, Jack is just checking that his crew have been able to remove all of the visible debris from their workspace (they have) when Flora's dulcet tones ring in his ears.

Arching an eyebrow across at her, it's with a wolfish smile and nothing more - she knows what she said and it's hit all the right notes - that the captain turns, whistles for his men to take a new direction, and gets the fuck to work. The majority of the heavy lifting is easy enough for a half dozen meatheads to carry out, but some of the more complex stuff requires finesse.

Why Jack asks Melita for help with it, then, one can only speculate.

"Hey," he calls to the Honeybee, "you got your weird water-walkin' thing on? I could use a hand out here." He nods out into the shallows, Jack already engaging his water magic to keep things still and calm.
