Had the others not been there, there was no doubt Melita would’ve been thoroughly occupied by the monkeys, or by the outlets of environments and climates bundled together in one fixating front. What a miraculous thing to have and share amongst the world – and some manner of peace, rather than the ease of usual restlessness, pressed against her shoulders.
