Another laugh is exhaled against his skin, lips curling into a smile as they press to his pulse, humming with the weight of his arm around her slender waist. "Good... Hopefully this glow lasts for a little bit." She murmurs, her own voice slightly hoarse as she remains in his embrace, not having it in herself to untangle from him yet. He's too warm beneath her and the need to be held hasn't gone away just yet. She's going to soak it up while she can.
"Mmm.. Yes. It's been a while and I think I've been neglecting myself a little too much." The Nightshade confesses, somehow managing to relax further against his chest as his thumb circles the notches on her spine, chasing away any remaining tension. They don't move for some time. Neither of them willing to leave the quiet calm they've found there. It's only when she finally acknowledges the sand sticking to her skin and the mess between her legs that Maeve nods.
And if she stays in his arms while they swim too, the two of them indulging in each other until the sun threatens to rise on the horizon, no one is none the wiser.
