Now Arialla starts to lose her sharp tongue. She opens her mouth to snap back at Wessex, though she's running out of retorts. In fact, she's starting to think it's about time to run, to take eagle form or -- no, that monstrous shift of Wessex's could surely out-fly her. But as a dolphin, she might be able to escape into the deeps.
But before Arialla can either speak or run, Wessex's nightmares take hold. Shadowy figures surround Arialla, distorted forms with only fanged mouths visible, mouths dripping with her own blood -- Arialla cries out and drops to her knees, curling in on herself as if cowering will protect her.
