At the mention of her father becoming a demigod for Frey, Kamaria's lips tighten together and for the stir of emotions that awaken, she has to look away. "I know. I know the choice he made. He didn't tell me before he did it, he just... did it." Her voice is colder and more mature than she's ever heard it be. Until the next sentence, where it cracks and sways and she feels like the helpless child she still is, "But I don't understand why. I can't. After all that you've done for us?" She turns back to her mother and her gaze shakes with the same emotion that her words do. "How could he leave you?"
