Not unlike a canopy, save for a roof instead of fronds, she tilted her head at the stranger, smiling vaguely. “If you’d like,” and without hesitation she lifted the pattern of colors, hues, and little flags towards the youth.

He made a few grumbling gestures, which could’ve signified anything, and she gave a light laugh. Addressing the roof-walker, she continued to maneuver portions and pieces away from one another, untangling and unraveling. “I haven’t seen you around before. I’m Melita.”
