Vi regards the mortal before him in his entirety, from those first steps all the way to those which had brought him here and now, and wordlessly he extends his hand. "I would have you shine," he says. "I would have your light eliminate the shadows where the Ascended crawl. I would have you take it back, and I would have you take no prisoners." Somehow the snow around the Sentinel will seem darker even than the blackest midnight, as if the only source of illumination comes from Vi and Vi alone. "Will you do that?" the God of Life asks. "Will you be my light?"
