"Certainly not." Safrin agrees, and in his mind her presence will spiderweb throughout his consciousness like irreparable fractures in ice or bone. With a final rake of her nails against his scalp, the goddess will step forward and through him. Disappearing like a sigh breathed in a maelstrom, Safrin will let Jack's memories twist and tangle the encounter as he sees fit, into nightmares and daydreams, and sexcapades alike. And perhaps should one of those seem more real in the moment than it has any right to, as if her hands nails are actually upon his skin, clawing stroking, her lips laughing screaming, well then, Jack might just realize he isn't the only one with magic he keeps hidden.
