He can hear Wessex from where he inspects the ground and the surrounding building, casting a glance over his shoulder back toward her through a curtain of growing dark hair, much of which he brushes back with the metal hand. “On it.” He confirms, picking up a few of the loose pieces before focusing on the bigger ones trapped halfway in the ground poking out that needed to be broken down.
To these he takes his hammer to it, the plinking and ringing of metal that echoes through the house around them all, and once Varus has broken up a decent pile, he’ll pick it all up and put it in the little wheelbarrow he’d dragged over to his house.
