After a long day of scamming, pickpocketing, and general disrepute -- all aided by his telekinesis and illusions -- Theo walked through Kaiholo Port, stretching as he mentally counted his winnings and tried to decide whether it was worth shelling out for a boardinghouse tonight. Nah, the weather was nice; he could sleep on the beach. And he'd managed to steal himself some good snacks, so he wasn't even hungry. Excellent. He'd be able to hang onto what he'd "earned" today for a bit. Maybe tomorrow he'd just laze around instead of "working" so hard.
That was Theo's mistake, really: thinking about the future instead of the present. He should have known better. Years of bumming around, sleeping on the street, making enemies, looking after himself should have taught him better. But, you know, war was brewing and Caido was on edge -- who would bother with little old Theo?
