The start of a voyage always puts Jack in a fantastic mood - he can feel the energy of the air currents vibrating through his bones, and the Ark cuts a beautiful figure as she slices through the water, heading out into the deep, deep blue.
There's a stop to make this time, though, before they head to the gods-know-where, and it takes them to the ever changing Kuali'i Isles. Jack has called for them to pull up short in the newly created shallows, setting down anchor.
"Got a deal with merfolk," he calls to the gathered crew. "They're leavin' us somethin' good out there on one of the Isles. Pretty sure I know which one, but be careful in case they break away from us."
Because that's the plan. Island hop, find the promised goods from the Mer, get back onto the Ark and head the fuck out of here before the islands move too much and she ends up stranded.
"Everyone who's comin', head down to the rowboat."
Said rowboat is waiting at the bottom of a rope ladder that's draped over the side of the ship.
