It reaches for the grass, placing it between its lips where it obviously does not make a high pitched whistle. After a few moments trying and failing, it gives up and instead looks up at the Lullaby with a bright smile. "You did all the things that I asked, sweetling," it says softly, shuffling to its knees so it's somewhere near Remi's face. "Well done. A deal is a deal." And so, reaching out, Ludo slaps Remi across the face. And with the echoing crack through the trees, something new and sinister and light blooms to life within the alchemist.
