Okay, now she was starting to get irritated. The thing was right there in front of her, and she still managed to miss? That was just embarrassing. Maea leaped back out of the way so that the others could unleash their own attacks upon it without hitting her, and at Ronin's warning she closed her eyes.
The light still dazzled her, and greenish spots kept dancing before her eyes. The skeleton had lost interest in her and charged off towards the demigod. Which was completely fine with her, honestly. It gave her a moment to think, and remember something that should have been obvious and good to keep in mind a long time ago.
Reaching for a sensation that did not belong to her, Maea made use of the gifts she had sifted from Locke and channeled. "Spirits, if you hear me. Can you keep that skeleton from moving for a bit? Please?"
She didn't expect anyone to listen to her. But hope had ever been the last to abandon a soul, and she was nothing if not a believer.
Maea keeps back and channels, asking spirits to keep the skeleton from moving for a bit.
