Melita did grimace, sheepishly laughing and rubbing the back of her head, as if that might alleviate their irritation, or the fact that she was caught lying, all due to the power of chance (or misfortune, in their case). “Okay, um, maybe not,” as the wheel landed on Keep a Spin, and…Keep a Spin. “Could I have…two more spins please?” A nice bright smile to elongate the ridiculous, kinda silly issue, but hopefully, this would be the last of it. Then she could be completely out of their hair, and nosily watch the rest participate until the end of these sessions.

Guess that's what happens when you're late to the party. There aren't even any insults left. But how serendipitous, there are more spins to be spun on the shiny wheel and Azure surely takes the chance to spin them. "Splendid. Two more spins, please." She says, her tone sunny.

There's a lot to be said about the practice of wheel spinning. None of it particularly interesting. The latin word for wheel is rota, so the act of wheel spinning could be called rotating the rota. The same person who would say that could also say that this paragraph is being run into the humus.

For a moment there, Azure's eyes had gone blank and her mind was completely empty. Blinking a few times, she shook off the trance like state and stared at the tall figure blankly but expectantly.

Hotaru spies Deimos and Melita and their matching chagrined expressions, but the Valkyrie is a stone cold bitch and has no sympathy for the frustrated entertainers. Or if she does, it doesn't weigh up against her materialism and general desire to cause mischief and irritation wherever she goes. So she sidles back up into line behind the lovely maiden she doesn't know, and exercises her ill-used patience to wait for her turn.

"One more for the road and I'll leave you be," she chimes, winking at the other host this time around. There's plenty more to see at the carnival after all.
