Curious and curiouser

A scrawled note explaining that a child had been playing in the underground and found a very strange device. Their mother had found it and demanded that it be turned in to the LoreSeekers as the most knowledgable guild when it came to examining such artifacts. The note was punctuated with a scribbled (but unreadable) signature. Enclosed within a hastily wrapped package was: Two-way mirror: Two small oval-sizes pieces of mirror. Each item is magically bonded to the other, and reveals the reflection of its partner when looked into, regardless of distance.
