The damp paper is torn at the bottom, clearly ripped from some other page, and the script, usually so neat and precise, is scrawled hurriedly across it and has run, as if it hadn't dried before the letter was folded and given over to the raven.
I regret not writing sooner. I have struggled to put my feelings into words. If I ever gave you the impression that I did not need you, I am sorry. I relied on you more than you knew. And I have missed you every day.
Most importantly, you are still my friend.
I am unharmed, but Torchline cannot say the same. I must get back to work.
